Welcome to our Edmonton CrossFit CCA Schedule. If you're new to CrossFit you'll notice we offer many classes at different times of the day. Unlike a regular gym, every class is lead by an instructor and is taught as a group class. If you're new to our gym, and want to take advantage of our 1 free class, you may drop-in to any open class time.

Monday – Saturday
The heart of any CrossFit gym, these classes are meant to increase your body's strength, coordination, flexibility and conditioning. Every class begins with a 10 minute warm-up and stretch. Then we proceed to a lifting and strength class where everyone will work on a specific movement such as a squat or overhead press. Finally, each class is continued with a metabolic conditioning session to increase the heart rate and strengthen our cardiovascular system. Each class only lasts 1 hour. Students are encouraged to stay and stretch with classmates for 15 minutes after each class.
Each CrossFit class is unique and challenging keeping you interested and motivated class after class. As well, safety at our gym is of the utmost importance. Alongside the trainer, students should be starting with low or no weights and should progress from that point forwards.
While this challenge is held at Capital City Athletics CrossFit Gym, you will not be doing intensive CrossFit Exercises like rope climbing or Olympic lifting. We will be doing high intensity interval training (HIIT) such as circuits or partner workouts. Activities will include (and will be adjusted accordingly for individual needs): running, air squats, lightweight slam balls, lightweight wall balls, lightweight kettle-bells, pushups, sit-ups, rowing and much more fun activities!
