I enjoy spending time with my family, playing boardgames, and baking any and everything!

When I hit a 200# Clean and Jerk!
Favorite cheat meal or food?:
Gluten Free Pizza (Not as good as regular pizza, but it suffices)
Interesting fact about yourself?: I enjoy playing the piano and singing. I spend a lot of time practicing and experimenting 3 part harmonies with my sisters :)
What got you to try Crossfit?:
I moved to the city for university and discovered that I had endless opportunity to start my fitness journey in one of the many Crossfit gyms inhabiting Edmonton. I tried out a couple of other gyms, but Capital City instantly felt like home. From the moment I finished my first Crossfit class, I knew that it was the perfect sport for me!
What do you enjoy most about Capital City Athletics?:
The family atmosphere. Everyone is extremely welcoming, creating the best place to spend my evenings.
Favorite quote or words to live by?:
Bad days happen! Sometimes you come into the gym, you are having a horrible day, the workout is 7 minutes of straight burpees, and you die. It is OKAY. Another common problem that people encounter is missing a lift. It is important to recognize that missing a lift is totally fine, it just shows that your body hash't fully recovered from the badass workout you did the previous day.
Advice to newbies to Crossfit?:
Just try it! You won't discover how amazing it is until you take 1 hour out of your day to do a class. It is life changing!
